2025 Festival of Biodiversity - Exhibit

The annual Festival of Biodiversity celebrates our natural heritage by raising awareness and fostering appreciation for nature. This year’s edition took place between 31 May to 01 Jun 2025 and was held at the National Library.

NPSS volunteers took turns to man our booth across both days which included a macro photography station (where visitors discovered both the challenges and the fascinating details of the tiny world around us).

Our birding showcase also drew interest, giving the public a chance to handle birding gear and experience first hand the impressive reach of telephoto lenses.

The event was a meaningful one for NPSS:

  • Attracting new sign-ups (with membership growing by nearly 20%) and,
  • Forging collaborations with fellow nature groups (for instance, our partnership with NUS TMSI has opened up opportunities for intertidal shoots at St John’s Island and even photography sessions in their research labs).

Overall, it was a wonderful success in promoting nature photography and raising awareness of NPSS. We’re already looking forward to an even bigger and better Festival of Biodiversity in 2026!
