NPSS' Landscape Interest Group was launched on 07 Feb 2026 during AGM FY2025. The first outing kicked off at Punggol Jetty on 28 Feb 2026 on what was originally an overcast Saturday morning. WIth some patience - the sun eventually broke through the clouds just enough to reveal brief but beautiful "egg-yolk" on the horizon.
Group leader, Michael shared practical tips with participants on composition, camera settings and the use of ND (neutral density) filters. Such filters allowed for the creation of the silky smooth water effect (above) that many of us enjoy when capturing seascape. The group then moved further down to the beach area for more shots.
A week after the outing, Michael hosted a review session over Zoom. Participants had the opportunity to showcase their images and engage in practical critiques of each other's work. In addition, Michael demonstrated key editing fundamentals via a step-by-step workflow using Lightroom Classic.
This is the first of a series of 6 sessions planned for 2026. We hope to see more of you join us in the coming months and you look forward to members’ works from these sessions.
