Our outing to Sembawang Park was planned around capturing the sunset, but nature had other ideas. The evening sky remained cloudy and overcast, leaving us without the dramatic sunset colours we had hoped for.

Despite the lack of a sunset view, the cooler colour temperature created a unique atmosphere and mood in the images. The lights from the ships offshore and along the jetty provided beautiful points of light, forming interesting background bokeh that added character to many of the photographs.
While it may not have been the most productive outing in terms of sunset photography, it proved to be a valuable learning experience. Participants had the opportunity to gain additional practice with filters and long-exposure techniques, adapting to the changing conditions and making the most of the available light.
Most importantly, photography outings are about more than just the images. The good company, shared experiences, and enjoyable conversations made it a fun and memorable evening for everyone involved.
